Every so often, I come across a person who believes that Fractal Art isn't really art at all and that it is merely button pushing. Well, being a fractal artist myself, I get quite offended. We work really hard on our pieces and it's not nice to just call it "button pushing"! So, I've decided to feature some incredible artists biweekly that prove that Fractal Art isn't all about the buttons, but the creative genius, inspiration, and hard work of the people who make it!


This week's "button pusher" is the AMAZING `xero-sama!! Kip is a great fractalist across both Ultra Fractal and Apophysis, and his pieces are always inspiring in my eyes. Considering his incredibly versatillity, I'm sure there isn't anything Kip can make that won't make my jaw drop.

THE INTERVIEW

How did you get into Fractal Art?

I got into fractals by a deviant that has been around for a long time: *LordShenlong. He told me how to get Apo and how to use it. He was the first person to share parameters with me, as well.He opened a door I'll never regret stepping through. Fractal art allowed me to create the abstract reality I had strived to create in programs like Photoshop. For this, I am ever grateful


How long does it generally take for you to make a piece?

It depends on what I am striving for.If I'm working in Ultra Fractal, it can take me a couple of hours to a couple of minutes.In Apophysis, it takes days. I keep tweaking, rotating, adding, and taking from variations and variables for up to three weeks sometimes. Sometimes, I get the magical touch and produce something I like in 10 minutes.

Finally, what would you say to someone who called you a button pusher?

You're a scrub. Lets see you make magic with radial blur someday.
