I think the noise is a bit much actually, I know it was on purpose but it just doesn't work for me. Textures aren't usually right in your face stab ya in the eyes, ya know?

When looking at the piece, I see an old junkyard in NYC, honestly. I love how it gives the appearance of jumbled and worn; it's a nice break from all the neat, perfect, shiny fractals I see so often.
The only thing that really bothers me is the bottom...compared to the business of the rest of the piece, it feels a bit left out. I'm no good with fractals at all, but I think maybe you could add just a little something to offset the imbalance.
Great work!
Hard grain on hard background = Very rough.
Hard grain on soft background = A little softer.
The movement I'm getting from this piece is quite nice, though. I really like what you did with the lines in the lower left-hand corner. The colors certainly add to the mystical qualities of this work.
So that's it, I guess. A little softer grain and better composition might make this piece look a lot better. It's just too rough on the eyes to be seen as appealing, although the concept gets through fine.
