Apophysis Courses!

Journal Entry: Thu Dec 30, 2010, 8:02 AM

IMPORTANT:Registration for the January/February semester is still open and will be until the 7th!

Ever wanted to learn how to use apophysis? Having trouble just understanding how the program works? Already know a bit about Apo and want to learn more?
Well, I have just the thing for you!

Over at visual-arts-academy.com I teach a set of courses geared towards both the complete beginner and more advanced users.

Why not indulge in the advanced course and learn my creative process and some advanced techniques like how to use the Xaos tab?

If you've ever wanted to learn how to use Apophysis, my courses start the 1st of the month, every two months.
Registration for the upcoming semester is open and the courses start on July 1st.

What you will learn
Basic course-How to download the program
-How to use the main, editor, and adjustment windows
            -How to manipulate transforms
            -How to run scripts
-How to save, open, copy, paste, and render parameters
-How the coloring algorithm works and how to color your work
            -How to use Post Transforms
-How to make flame fractals in several popular styles including:tiles, wire and tubes, grand julians, stained glass, and more.

Advanced course-Understanding Variation mapping and properties
               -Working with the Xaos tab
-Understanding Travis's "Shape and Detail Transform" philosophy
-How to download and use Plugins for more variation in your work
-Simple compositional and adjustment tips and tricks
-How to make flame fractals in several popular styles including:splits and bipolar/elliptic, lazy susan/loonie/oscilloscope gaskets and more.

All of this is accompanied by 1 on 1 personal assistance from me in a small group setting.

Plus, every student, upon completion of the each course gets a certificate saying they have finished the course, a flame pack created by me, and access to parameters from most, if not all, of my flames.

So, if you'd like to learn how to use Apophysis, sign on up!

Happy fractaling!

Why don't you have a paypal? You can link it up to your bank account and that makes things way easier ;)
Also, I think I can let you in on the advanced course.

It is too late to sign up now? And how does the course work? Is it like Janet's courses, with homeworks and such?

No and yes :D
It's on the same place that Janet taught and works the same way. I post the lesson and you do stuff in the forums.

Ah. I checked on the visual arts academy, I think I'll sign up, but can I join the basic course for january, since I'll join a drawing course in March/April. I know some of apo, but I fear that there are a lot of holes (swiss cheese) in my knowledge.
